How we work
We believe that owner-managed businesses
and not-for-profits can and should have excellent, cost-effective IT
services. Our core business is IT Managed Services – we become your
internal IT department.
Depending on your needs, our service can include
many components typically found only in large companies and include the
following:
-
Help
Desk System
– Each user
request is logged into our help desk system so users can know the status
of their request, and we can respond and communicate effectively.
The system helps us record changes made to systems, and spot
potential trends in issues or areas where staff need additional
training.
-
Monitoring System – Our monitoring
tools inform us to when alerts we have set are
triggered, which help us to
proactively resolve potential issued before they become a problem.
-
Purchasing - Because we are
purchasing workstations and servers for many organizations, we have
access to very competitive pricing.
-
Data backups and Disaster Recovery – We ensure back-ups of your data are made and stored on site, off
site, or in the cloud.
-
Private Cloud Systems – Don’t have a climate controlled room for your servers?
We can host them in our data center.
Don’t have enough server space?
We can host your application and/or data on our servers.
-
Training
– We can present at your staff meetings to bring your staff up to
date on how to use your company’s technology appropriately and
effectively. We’ll help you
create IT policies that work for your organization.
-
Economy of Skill – Typically a
small business cannot hire the variety of skills needed to run an IT
department. That is why you
hire RedPine.
Our goal is to be your
affordable, effective and efficient IT department.
How Do We Get Started?
We start by performing a
review of your current technical infrastructure, and assessing your business
requirements. We look at your
workstations, servers, networks, security, software, bandwidth, firewalls,
etc. – all the technical stuff that may or may not be working so well for
you currently. We discuss with
you where your business is currently, and where it is going – planning for
growth, or transforming/down-sizing for the future.
We take this information and create a plan to bring
your technology up to date, phased according to your budget.
We will also recommend how to make some of the changes needed to meet
your requirements, like upgrading your email system, and meeting security
requirements.
Once we reach agreement on how we will work
together, RedPine staff complete a one to two week on-boarding process to
bring your workstations and servers onto our monitoring tools, set up your
VPN (virtual private network) so you can work remotely, and teach your team
members to use our Help Desk system.

A Customer Story
I worked with Ethan when I was CEO of Morrison Child
and Family Services and he helped set the stage for a very significant
investment in our IT infrastructure. I found his contributions critical in
developing the foundation of what was a very successful implementation of an
overall IT platform for a $20 million dollar nonprofit with outdated legacy
systems. Ethan achieved great results and is a person of high integrity and
professionalism. Jay Bloom.
